Peace Not War (Icke 'U Like)

Some believe 9/11 was a ruse
To give American people the blues
And with this dreadful news
President Bush could blow his fuse
He now had a perfect excuse
To send his army on the loose
To cook Saddam Hussein's goose
And steal Iraq 's oil, it's black juice
And Tony Blair of warmongering, je t'accuse
To align with Bush, did he choose
Perchance war doth him amuse
His power, does he misuse!
Peace protesters feel "what's the use?"
They'll never agree to a truce
They want Bin Laden's head in a noose
Then they'll celebrate at the White House
They're deaf to cries and boos
They think they'll never lose
(They fix the TV autocues)
They don't care for right or wrong, don'ts or do's
Of democracy, it's blatant abuse
As if the constitution were refuse
But soon the truth will out, their faces turn to puce
And then they'll vanish and vamoose
All the time, Bush tries in vain the UN to use
Although the Catholic Church he courts, he woos
Then plays with his lethal toys, trident and cruise
Causing mutilation and murder, letting blood ooze
Steadily turning the nations into zoos
Slowly, slowly, in one's and two's
Toil and trouble in his cauldron, he brews
Fear and hate, the emotions he cues
The army will receive it's share of booze
In order the troops' senses to confuse
And feelings of revenge to enthuse
Meanwhile propaganda churns in varied hues
A belief in official sources to infuse
In such circumstances, it's hard to refuse
But eventually the wrongdoers will pay their dues
And then their egos will receive a bruise
The intrigue of David Kelly's death, they tried to defuse
As the papers were printing bad reviews
Poor man, it wasn't pleasant being in his shoes
All because he gave those interviews
By such means, the elite the nation subdues
And anyone outspoken who opposes the orthodox views
With the power of the courts, the government sues
Lest the deceit of politicians, they attempt to diffuse
Don't believe our humanity, they can contuse
Our spirit and dignity eternally renews
Sometimes just by praying in our Churches' pews
Whether simple Inuits in their igloos
Or the well-to-do in their Kensington mews
The whole population, me and you's
We'll walk the stage proudly like in thespian reviews
And play our parts, our entrances, our adieus
For in the world to come where love binds and glues
To know what's real, you won't need clues
We'll live in paradise, listening to the cows' moos
Watching doves fly above, hearing their coos
And may there be harmony between Palestinians and Jews
It's all the same, blacks, whites, Arabs, Hebrews
Meditate, have faith, God's love rescues
Believe in the ONE, so says my muse!
