We are grateful to all those who offer to give
talks, workshop, demonstrations or performances at Festival
of Life. Please note that this is a not-for-profit event, which
is an affiliated project of the Permaculture Association. We
require all participants to be vegetarian or at least not be
opposed to vegetarian/ vegan lifestyles in principle.
Due to lack of funding, we are unable to pay
commercial rates for this service. To avoid discrimination on
income grounds, minimal charges are made for entry to the festival
to cover the cost of the venue, publicity, and organisation.
Therefore we hope that participants see this as an opportunity
to perform a self-less service for the benefit of the greater
community as well as promoting your own business. The Festival
does provide participants with free promotion in association
with the event, on the website and in the programme, and on
the day itself, as well as free entry to the evening Party of
Dance and Celebration and we invite you to offer reciprocal
publicity, in the spirit of supporting the festival as a whole.
On arrival please check in at the reception desk
in the foyer, where you will be directed to further assistance
if needed. Each speaker is allowed a maximum of one free guest
if they are necessary to support your presentation, but we
must be notified of their name and contact details in advance-
see web form. We will invite your guest to become a member of
our stewarding team, as other presenters and stall-holders may
also be in need of assistance - if you require additional support,
eg for demonstrations etc, extra assistanst can pay for their
ticket in the normal way, or you can request a volunteer.
Sessions are for either half an hour or
an bour including time for Q & A's (the programme summary page
will be adjusted accordingly) allowing 30 minutes for networking
and changeover. Those already scheduled are shown HERE.
You should be able to gain entry to the room 15 minutes beforehand.
Therefore, please vacate the room promptly for the next speaker
at quarter to the published starting time. Please mention in
your application the length of time which you feel is most appropriate.
