Dean Rees-Evans- Understanding Living Consciousness: The Happiness Paradox
This talk will be a fascinating exploration of how we can all fall back naturally into happiness ñ exploring the Three Spiritual Principles of Mind, Consciousness and Thought as the true source of human happiness. It will allow you to realise something deep within yourself about the true nature of reality; how each and everyone of us creates reality in the same way ñ and its profound effect upon your life. If you already think life is amazing, be prepared to have the carpet pulled out from underneath you as you reconnect to your own wisdom, common sense and innate psychological health. If you want to know the true source of mental well-being, then donít miss this session.
Dean Rees-Evans, long term vegan and proponent of world peace and environmental issues spent the past three & half years researching an understanding of The Three Principles of Mind, Consciousness and Thought. His research revealed an incredible 17% increase in psychological well-being and a staggering 28% increase in happiness. Dean is becoming a well known keynote speaker, and has spoken for a wider variety of audiences in the UK and Australia. These included VegFest (Brighton & Bristol), the London Vegan Festival, local health authorities, schools, alternative health care practitioners, and complimentary therapists and will be speaking at The Truth Matters (London) later in the year. Dean also runs intensive group courses based on his work, and offers one-to-one sessions, also working with couples, families, schools and businesses to enhance happiness and well-being.

Ganga Grace - The Ancient Practices of Yoga and Tantra in Today's World
In this lecture we will be looking at the various techniques of Eastern Tantra and Yoga and how they can help contemporary people achieve more fulfilling lives and connect to their innermost Selves, thereby achieving states of inner harmony, peace and bliss. The ancient techniques help us to heal the split within and become whole again - a highly relevant theme in today's fragmented world. There's a story that when a cockroach sees another insect trying to attack it, it becomes so mortified with fright that the image of that insect freezes in its mind. Due to the intense ideation of the form of its enemy, the enemy actually sees the cockroach as one of its own kind. In other words, the vibration emanating from the cockroach's mind influences its enemy's mind into thinking that it is a member of its own species. Thus the cockroach is saved from death, since the insect will not attack one of its own kind. You may well ask, "How has this got anything remotely to do with yoga?" The fundamental meaning of the word "yoga" is to unify. Hence the English word "yoke." To mix sugar and sand means to unite the two. But it's more than that. True unification is like mixing sugar and water: the two become one. Yoga is the unification of the individual existence with the Cosmic existence; the individual sense of awareness with the Cosmic sense of awareness; the individual experience of limited pleasures and pains with the Cosmic experience of the unlimited: infinite happiness, perfect peace and contentment ñ bliss. That's what we are all inextricably attracted to; it's the reason for all the things we do. We can never be satisfied with limited things. They may give us pleasure for a while, but never long-lasting satisfaction. So consciously or unconsciously, we all want bliss and we are all trying to achieve it. But how are we supposed to achieve it? The only way is to expand one's awareness to infinity; to transcend the mind and enter the realm of the Cosmic.
Ganga Grace is the director and principal teacher of the Himalayan Yoga Institute and has been practising and teaching yoga and meditation for more than two decades. She discovered the practices while writing her final thesis at university and preparing for a career as an interpreter and a high school professor of German language and literature. Her life was to take a different direction after she came in touch with the ancient yogic science. After being initiated into the spiritual path of yogic meditation, she decided to spend time in India and deepen her practice. There she discovered that Indian Classical Dance and Music is a complementary pursuit and actually a yoga in itself. While in India she devoted herself to the in depth study of a variety of subjects, including Eastern metaphysics, philosophy, Sanskrit, several living Indian languages, vocal music, percussion, the art of abhinaya (mimic or expressive dance), Indian classical dance and yoga. Today she devotes her time to serious seekers and also teaches yoga for beginners. She has worked as the director of a yoga centre in Northern California, USA, for five years and has taught yoga to youth, adults and children and has engaged in community service as well, teaching yoga to inmates. She has furthermore taught classes, workshops and seminars on yoga, diet and lifestyle in India, Germany, Croatia and the UK. She is a senior yoga instructor of the highest level registered with Yoga Alliance (E-RYT 500). She completed a Meditation teacher-training in 1995/6 at Seva Dharma Mission, in Bangalore, India. A few years later she became a Yoga Master teacher after completing a training in 1999 at the Himalayan Institute of Integrated Therapies, in Himachal Pradesh, Kullu, India. Her vast experience in yoga, dance and meditation, and the opportunity to learn from genuine masters, has helped her to greatly deepen her practical as well as intuitive understanding of the art and science of yoga and the mystic realms.
